It's that favorite time of the Halloween season. That's right carving up the pumpkins. We've decided that every year now we will try to find the biggest pumpkin we can find. So our big ol' pumpkin came in weighing 38lbs. Last years was 56lbs. So next year we will try to beat it. This was Camberley's big pumpkin. Of course Zach and Cam loved digging the guts out. Jacob would not have anything to do with it.
Dad had to start the whole process of cutting the lid.

A couple of days earlier Zachary did his pumpkin for the first time ever. Which he absolutely loved it. He had no problems pulling out the pumpkin guts.

Look at all the slimy, gooey, pumpkin guts.

We weren't going to go trick or treating this year. Then we found out that Anchorage holds a trick or treat town. It's in a huge warehouse, set up with all these booths giving away candy. So we ended up scrambling for costumes. Zachary was Dumbo the elephant. This was Jacob's last year halloween outfit.
Jacob was bumblebee, a extra halloween outfit our neighbor had. Camberley was a punk rocker.

Jacob was sooo excited that he got to be bumblebee. Camberley was excited to just be going trick or treating for candy.

Zachary thought sitting on the beluga whale was cool. He explored it a lot before he settled on it. Camberley also sat on the display of a beluga whale.

Jacob took his turn as well.

We have a great picture of the cousins sitting at Potter's Marsh. This was a really great photo. Not to mention the kids had a great day.

What a great day to go out and adventure the glaciers. These were the ones that we could actually walk on. I only walked halfway on the glaciers before I chickened out, and left. The kids, Marshall and his Dad sure did enjoy the time they spent on it.

Train ride to the Glaciers

We got to ride a train for about ten minutes that took us to some glaciers. We had to hike 1.3miles to get their. It was a beautiful site to see. No seal, whales or otters, because this glaciers resides inland.

Big Moose

Here's the moose we followed out of our neighborhood. We have a few regulars that like to come and munch on the leaves.

Pictures of the Land
We thought we had found a blueberry patch, but it ended up being crowberries. Which are very gross to eat.

My mom came to town for a visit, and we stop at the Potter's Marsh one day. Then we stopped at another point along the highway. All the kids got their pictures taken with a beluga whale made out of stone.

Jacob had his birthday party, and it was a great day for him. He was so excited to have a dinosaur cake, with dinosaur stuff on the table. When it came time for presents he didn't know what to think. After opening the first one he was done and ready to play with it. We had to coaxed him into opening all the rest. It was so cute!
Jacob had a hard time blowing out the last one.

Here's the cake that Marshall and I put together for Jacob's party. It's all he talked about.
